Welcome to Oski Market. These Terms of Service govern your use of oskimarket.ca and any purchases made through our platform. By accessing or shopping on Oski Market, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Oski Market

Oski Market is a non-profit e-commerce platform operated by the Norway House Cree Nation (NHCN) Economic Development Group. The name ‘Oski’; comes from the Cree word meaning ‘something new and fresh’. Our mission is to provide Norway House Cree Nation entrepreneurs and creators with a trusted digital marketplace to grow their businesses, share their work, and reach new customers across Turtle Island and beyond.

All products and services available on Oski Market are vetted and 100% Indigenous made. All profits go directly to the individual entrepreneur or artist. Proceeds do not benefit the NHCN Economic Development Group.

2. Eligibility

By using this website, you confirm that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

• You are legally capable of entering into a binding agreement.

• You are not prohibited from purchasing goods or services under applicable Canadian or international law.

3. Orders and Payment

Placing an Order:

When you place an order through Oski Market, you are making an offer to purchase products or services from an NHCN entrepreneur. Oski Market facilitates this transaction on behalf of the seller. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion, including cases of pricing errors, fraud, or stock unavailability.

Payment:

All transactions are processed in Canadian dollars (CAD). We use secure third-party payment processing through Squarespace Commerce. Oski Market does not store your full payment card details.

Custom Orders:

Custom orders are subject to additional terms agreed upon at the time of the order. Because custom products are made specifically for you, they are generally non-refundable unless they arrive defective or significantly different from what was agreed upon.

4. Product Authenticity

Every product listed on Oski Market is created by a verified Norway House Cree Nation entrepreneur. We take the authenticity of Indigenous-made goods seriously. If you have concerns about a product’s authenticity, please contact us promptly at the email address listed at the bottom of these policies.

5. Intellectual Property

All artwork, designs, photography, logos, and cultural content displayed on Oski Market are the property of the respective NHCN entrepreneurs and creators, or of the NHCN Economic Development Group. You may not reproduce, copy, distribute, or commercially exploit any content from this website without express written permission from the rights holder. Indigenous cultural symbols, motifs, and designs carry deep spiritual and community significance. Unauthorized reproduction or appropriation of these works is not permitted and is contrary to the values of Oski Market.

6. Use of the Website

You agree to use oskimarket.ca only for lawful purposes. You must not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or data.

• Post false, misleading, or offensive content.

• Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from this site.

• Impersonate another person or entity.
