Meet Bonnie Lynn Albert

Bonnie Lynn Albert lives and works in her hometown of Norway House Cree Nation, Manitoba, where she operates Handmade by Bonnie & Girls, a home-based business she runs alongside her daughters.

Together, they create ribbon wear, beaded jewelry, and custom designs, while also offering apparel services such as hemming and alterations. Bonnie is also passionate about sharing her knowledge with others and has hosted numerous ribbon skirt, ribbon shirt, and beading workshops within the community.

She takes great pride in helping others learn these skills, build confidence, and continue passing cultural traditions forward. Bonnie has also created a beginner-friendly step-by-step guide for making a basic ribbon skirt, which is available for purchase on Etsy.
