Meet Paige Miswagon

Paige Miswagon – Beadwork Artist

Paige Miswagon is a Cree beadwork artist from Norway House Cree Nation. She creates handmade earrings, pins, and medallions that blend traditional Cree design with contemporary spirit. Rooted in cultural pride, healing, and personal growth, her work reflects the strength and beauty of Indigenous identity.

In 2025, Paige’s artistry was recognized by the Winnipeg Art Gallery, which acquired one of her medallions — a milestone that marked her as part of a rising generation of Indigenous artists reclaiming space through beadwork, storytelling, and cultural expression. Paige continues to use beadwork as both a creative outlet and a form of medicine — sharing stories through each stitch and honoring her connection to land, spirit, and community.

Featured Piece: Princess Bubblegum Medallion

This piece features Princess Bubblegum from Adventure Time, brought to life through beadwork. It’s a fun mix of pop culture and tradition — hand-stitched using bold pinks, sparkly accents, and clean lines. Paige adds her own style to the character, showing how beadwork can reflect personality, humour, and creativity all at once.

It’s a great example of how she blends contemporary inspiration with traditional technique.
